About us

Drew MUN began in the spring of 2008 out of a Civic Engagement project for Nicole Favret and Katherine Grehl. Once the new school year started, joined with Ankita Dey, the club began to hold weekly meetings although many delegates had never participated in model UN before. Soon enough, we were holding formal debate on topics such as the structure of the Security Council, the Russia Georgia Conflict, and systematic rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This year, we attended Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) with eight delegates in the General Assembly. Overall it was a success and now we are looking to expand to other national competitions such as Chicago University Model UN and Georgetown MUN. We are always looking for new members, regardless of experience or major! The purpose is to expand the knowledge of students on international affairs and produce ideas on possible cures for the many situations the global community is facing today.
